Leapdragon 2016 - Aron Hsiao Was Here

notes  §

Advice to the young:

Decide what you want. Decide. Then, work toward it always, with every bit of your heart, mind, body, and soul, without question and without pause, waiting or changing course for no person or thing. Most important of all, never stop to ask yourself if you are still on the right path — if “this” is still what you want. Because to ask what you want is to change your mind.

There are infinitely many things to want.

Each one is as noble as the next.

Ask enough and you will soon have wanted all of them. Ask enough and you will begin to realize that you want everything. But everything is the one thing in the all of existence that you absolutely can not have, ever. To constantly ask yourself what you want — to follow five or ten or a hundred different dreams — is to have nothing in the end. Pick one and stick to it. Pick one and win. At the end (and the end will come — sooner than you think), you’ll have at least one victory written next to your name — one more than nearly anyone else.
